The Account screen lives in Settings → Account and is the single place to manage who you are to LawnBook, how your data syncs, and what happens to it when you stop using the app. Workers in a crew see a simplified version — the financial and destructive operations are owner-only.
Signing In
LawnBook works fully offline without an account. Sign in only when you want to enable cloud features:
- Apple Sign In (iOS) — required for iCloud restore on a new device, and the identity used by Crew sharing
- Google Sign In (Android) — required for Google Drive backup and the identity used by Crew sharing
Sign-in is identity-only. We never read your email, calendar, or contacts.
Sync Now
Tap Sync now to run sync on demand. Two parallel paths fire:
- iCloud Drive sync — pushes pending rows and pulls others' updates via per-table JSON files in your iCloud container. Works for solo multi-device on the same Apple ID, free for everyone
- Crew sync — runs only if you're a crew owner with Premium+ or a crew member, hitting our Cloudflare backend to share live data with your team
If you're on Pro or Premium without a crew, Sync now still does its iCloud Drive pass — no Cloudflare traffic, no extra cost.
Backup & Restore
The iCloud / Google Drive rows on this screen run a one-shot backup of your entire business and let you restore one of the last 5 backups. See the Backup guide for details.
Display Period
The Display Period control limits how far back lists show data — All Time (default), 90 Days, 6 Months, 1 Year, or 2 Years. Shrinking the window doesn't delete anything; it just keeps the dashboard and lists snappy on phones with thousands of jobs. Tax reports always show all data regardless of this setting.
Crew & Roles
Owners on Crew or Crew Plus see invite codes and a member list. Workers see a Leave Crew button. Leaving a crew wipes the local copy of the owner's data on your device and signs you out — identical to a fresh install.
Export My Data
Owners get an Export full backup row that creates the same JSON file as a regular backup but offers it via the system share sheet, so you can email it to yourself, save to Files, or send anywhere. Useful for accounting or compliance archives.
Delete Local Data
Wipes the on-device database without touching backups or any crew owner's data. Useful when you're handing off a phone or want a clean slate but plan to restore later.
Delete Account
Removes your sign-in identity from our servers and cascade-deletes any business records linked to it. After 24 hours all references are gone. This is final and cannot be reversed; back up first if you want a copy.
Subscriptions & Cancellations
Your subscription is managed via the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Cancel any time from those system settings. LawnBook checks the receipt on every app launch and on every foreground — the moment Apple or Google flags your subscription as expired, premium features lock back automatically and your local tier reverts to Free. Crew owners' workers stop pulling new data when the owner's tier drops; their local copies stay intact until they leave the crew or delete local data.
